Ivan Vulić is a Senior Research Associate in the Language Technology Lab at the University of Cambridge, UK since 2015. He received his PhD in Computer Science summa cum laude from the Faculty of Engineering Science, KU Leuven, Belgium in 2014. Ivan is interested in representation learning, distributional and multi-modal semantics in monolingual and multilingual contexts, language modeling, human language understanding, cognitive aspects of NLP, transfer learning for enabling cross-lingual NLP applications for resource-lean languages, information retrieval, and a lot of other (irrelevant) stuff. He has (co-)authored more than 40 peer-reviewed research papers published in top-tier NLP and IR journals and conference proceedings.
